Our 'Closed Universe' architecture is designed to minimize hallucination by restricting the AI to your specific case files. If the answer isn't in the documents, the system is designed to refuse rather than guess.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your data is isolated in your tenant and we select LLM providers that offer zero-retention data processing. Your documents are not used to train or improve any AI models.

What security certifications does Evidence Bound have?

SOC 2 Type II audit is planned (target Q3 2026). Our architecture uses AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, and immutable audit logs. Security addendum available for procurement review.

How does Evidence Bound comply with ABA ethics guidelines?

Evidence Bound is designed with ABA Formal Opinion 512 in mind. For Competence (Rule 1.1): citations are machine-verified. For Confidentiality (Rule 1.6): matter isolation, encryption, no data training. For Supervision: audit trail and one-click citation verification.

Can I run this on my firm's own servers?

Yes. We offer an On-Premise / Air-Gapped version delivered via Docker containers or Kubernetes Helm charts for complete data sovereignty.

How does this compare to Westlaw or Lexis AI features?

Unlike general legal research tools, Evidence Bound works exclusively with YOUR case files. Every answer is grounded in your uploaded documents with verifiable citations. We don't search external databases—we help you find evidence in your matter.

Can I export my research for court submissions?

Yes. Export Q&A sessions as PDF or Word with full citations including document name, page number, and excerpt. The complete audit trail can also be exported as JSON or CSV. Some jurisdictions require disclosure of AI-assisted research, and our exports provide a complete record.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You can export all data at any time. Upon cancellation, we provide a 30-day window to export, then all data is permanently deleted with a certificate of destruction available upon request.
